Tracing a racehorse?

I've looked on the racing post ect but can't find anything..
Trying to trace information on a friend's childhood horse, a gelding called 'Good Friday', think he ran on the flat, born late 70s early 80s? Apparently his sire 'won the derby'? ?‍
Any suggestions where I can look?

Biing search brings up 2. 1899, then 1946.. Too lomg ago maybe.

The only ones showing up out of 10 registered (internationally) in that time frame is one from Australia (1979, unraced).

Was that definitely his racing name?

Maybe this one? But it’s much earlier than you said and he was unraced.

Thank you all, I'd found and dismissed those but will try and get more info.. unfortunately I'm not entirely sure if anyones still in possession of his passport, he lived until 34yo so was still around when they became mandatory.
