tracing a thoroughbreds pedigree

hi,does anyone know of any good websites (that are preferrably free) where I can trace a TB's pedigree- ive found his details on the weatherbys site but cant get anymore info from the site other than dam and sire.

Yeah,i have his racing name and his sire and dam,but was hoping to find out a bit more! i also know that he was bred in france

If he's weatherby's registered then the most certain way of knowing his pedigree is to use their website, http://www.weatherbys.net/eol/ Use the Free Reports on the right hand side and just put each horse in his lines in (one at a time, but its free, and guaranteed to be correct).

www.allbreedpedigree.com is great. I managed to trace back my boys routes to the 1700's, they even include some details and photo's of some of the horses!

If you can't find what you want on all breed pedigree then try http://www.pedigreequery.com it is a bit more thoroughbred based

If you go onto the Racing Post, and find either him or one of his relations that ahs been through the sales.
Go to the sales company website, find it and you will get a 3 generation tabulated pedigree.
