Hi just thought I'd give it a go trying to find any previous history known on my welsh mare, registered name Sunroyd Sophia.

She stands at about 14hh and is chestnut flaxen. 4 socks, white strip....will post a pic below.

Came across her about 3 years ago now but bought her two years ago this April.

Sire is Kilcobben King Flyer and dam is Taybog Bethan.

Was bred by an E.Earnshaw down at what was a stud in Huddlesfield [I think] however as far as I'm aware he died and most of his horses were sold. She was then bought by a J.E.Gaukroger who is still out competing her welshies I think with the same Sunroyd prefix.

Was then sold to another man and then sold the next year in foal, sold as an unbacked broodmare in the Northamptonshire area which was where I bought her. Unfortunately the foal didn't make it but believed to have foaled other ones prior to this too.

Would love to know anymore info.

Many thanks!

Ah ok found out one her foals from 1999 is Sunroyd Cadog who is out showing currently with a lady and was at PoniesUK, Newark and Notts, Derby etc last year.

Sunroyd Prince Regent is a brother to her along with Cariad...

Still unsure as to who the 2004 foal is though.

Sorry forgot the pics...

Oh and found her her 1999 foal was called Sunroyd Cadog and her 2004 foal was called Kilcobben Stuart's Star. She was in foal in 2005\6 also, however the foal had to be put down unfortunately. Not sure who the sire would have been then though.
