Well, turns out Razz is chipped, when we were led to believe he wasn't...

So anyone know anything about tracing chips? His number is 985100009635492, have emailed the stud book his passport is with so they can check their records.

Any help appreciated!

I have just traced a chip on a mare with the help from people on this forum.

I am told that the first 3 digits will determin the country of origin

http://www.wsava.org/MicrochipSurvey1102.htm

Although I cant see 985 on there !

Nothing comes up on the chip identifier either that I was shown on here.

There are lots of helpful people on here who have helped me. Good Luck its not easy

Sounds like a UK chip number to me, haven't followed the rest of the story but you would need to check if the chip was actually registered by the owner at the time. If not you could try to track who the chip was supplied to, to see if they still have records of the animal it was inserted into or the original owner details.

Well! Your horse seems to be chipped with a chip from a company called Easy-Trac who are based in Antwerp. I think the chip was put on the Backhome Club database who are in Holland I think. They've not got an English translation to their website that I could find so I'm guessing a bit.

Anyway, if you contact Easy-trac at: info@easytrac-ID.com they have a search facility and should be able to tell you the full SP on your chip.

Hope that's helpful
pm me if you want any more assistance.
