They are becoming fairly popular now because people are seeing the benefits but i don't think i know of any in the NI areas? I don't personally need one but i know a few people who are in places where the options are just grassy field for summer or stable, muzzle 24/7, dry paddock. i.e not lots of social interaction or movement for the horses, the same winter hassles etc. So would be cool to be able to share some. Id also like to look at one just to get ideas/advice on the land management side of it. I tend to work the opposite and do my "winter stabling routine" in summer, then they get turfed out for winter but im thinking of setting up my own track system for the coming years as my little herd will only get smaller (until i decide to breed my little mare and get back into showing...but i wont yet....i swear i maybe wont)

Having seen the benefits on my Connie of being on my small track I’m also surprised not more are being set up. I have had three people want to join me on mine but it’s to small for more than two. They do cost a lot to set up and animals need to respect the fencing but my two will never go back onto conventional grazing in the summer again.

I think they are such a brilliant idea! When I was a teenager I kept my horse on my best friend's Mum's livery yard, which was absolutely typical for the area - about 20 stables; old dairy grazing so horses all massively fat in summer; deep clay so fields got very wet in winter and regularly closed for weeks at a time. They now run it as an Equicentral track system and the transformation is amazing! It is such a better use of their land and 100x better for the welfare of the livery horses. If I ever move back home I'll be putting my two on the waiting list!
