Lots of silage cutting/collecting round my way before the rain so huge tractors with huge machinery attached. We keep our horses down a VERY narrow, bendy lane that any sensible person only drives 10/15 mph along...on returning from a hack (fortunately with a friend) we heard a tractor hammering down lane so turned and waited in a gateway.....despite being covered in reflective & giving slow down signals this one tractor ploughed on past nearly sending me and my poor terrified mare through a 5 bar gate. Ive just spent nearly 2 yrs getting her used to them after a previous scare & we were virtually tractor proof again, now thanks to this (polite version) thoughtless twonk we are very much back to square one
Get this....all the police could say was 'the tractors are registered in Wales otherwise we could have spoken to them, and the lane is a 60 limit so they aren't doing anything wrong'....FFS we'll wait till someone gets killed then shall we????
Yes, i'll agree the majority of tractor drivers are considerate when passing horses but it only takes 1 ******* ******* idiot to kill or cause serious damage.
