I have a 13.2 traditional Gypsy cob. I struggle to find showing classes to enter her in as she is no longer coloured (she was when she was younger!), is not a registered M & M and is not a veteran! I was looking at a schedule earlier however and noticed that there was a class for traditional Gypsy cobs under 13.2! This sounds perfect for her and I'd like to enter however, I was wondering how do they judge the classes? Does anyone know what the expected dress code would be? I am presuming it would be tweed jacket etc.

Would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about these classes or who have shown their own Gypsy cobs!

Hi Im presuming your cob was/is blue and white and has greyed out.If this is the case you can still show her in coloured classes as she is is classed as Historical coloured and her skin when wet or clipped still shows the coloured markings. You could show in the TGCA classes.Dress code would be tweed/hope this helps Debx

Do try TGCA, its a lovely organisation! I have a big gypsy cob, daisy. You need to think M&M showing! It's loose mane and tail plus feathers! Tweed for us! Feel free to pm me!

Thanks for the replies! Yes, she used to be blue and white but now just looks grey! I used to show her in coloured classes, but as her colours started to fade people would sometimes get quite rude telling me that I shouldn't be in that class! Now you can only see that she's coloured when she's wet.

I've looked at the TGCA website, hopefully we'll manage to get to a show near us this year!
