Tragic accident!

Having witnessed a horrific accident at Romsey show (in hampshire) today I made sure my horses all had an extra hug today and hope everyone else will do the same.

One of the scurry ponies slipped coming round a corner and due to following events ended up being put to sleep from a broken leg. The poor lady driving him was absolutely devestated and my heart goes out to her. There was abolutley nothing anyone could have done - just seemed to be one of those freak accidents. (That several people seemed to think would make a good photo!!!)

It made me realise how quickly your horses can be gone and how much they mean to us.

I hope this pony rests in peace and that his last memories are of doing a job that he so obviously enjoyed.

Thats really sad

it just goes to show that nothing should be taken for granted , We were at a show and a horse in the working hunter dropped dead from a heart attack whilst jumping which was awful . My heart goes out to the lady and poor pony today.

Oh no, how awful.

There is nothing that can really be said in these situations. Life deals us hands that can knock us for six. No one could have done anything, it is a tragic accident and I hope that the pony was put out of pain swiftly.
