So - we qualified on Sunday for the Trailblazers championship 😊 (novice dressage)

I’ve never been to anything like this before. Can anyone who’s been give me an idea of what to expect? ( I’ve read some posts that indicate it’s poorly organised?) What’s the deal with accommodation, stabling etc? How much does it cost? Etc etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

Well done! Trailblazers a couple of years ago was bought out buy show direct who run the British Dressage nationals so it is now very well run. The arenas have full sized boards, flowers, huts and cars for judges. They run 6 arenas at once. The warm ups can be very busy. The catering tent and shops etc run alongside the arena.

The stables are on hard standing, but they can flood and the ground is quite stoney. The showers are old but perfectly functional.

There is a hotel on site you can stay in but most people camp or stay in their lorry.

It is quite expensive and entries plus stabling you're looking around £200 plus your cost for getting there etc. The schedule they send you for the champs is very detailed and gives a lot of info.

I've been quite a fee times and I really enjoy it! Hopefully going this year!
