Went off to Blewbury today to try and get my novice qualification for TB.
Arrived in plenty of time to give Honey a good warm up, so could do some leg yeilding and pirouettes that i'd been doing in my lessons.
First test was Prelim 10 and it was a good test. I felt it to be more uphill than previous tests but the judge disagreed. She said Honey was on the forehand; Honey is never on her forehand!! Anyway we got 60% bit gutted as its the worst mark she has had for a while!
Next test was novice 21, rode Honey on a shorter contact and more determined. This worked, she came out with 65% so managed to get my TB qualification
Wasn't impressed by the judging today, if you were a Blewbury person you did very well! One horse got 75% and won the novice but did no medium trot, went wrong and didn't look like a 75% test!!
Also got commented that I walked into my halt but i always believed at prelim the transistion could be progressive!
