Does anyone have any idea of costs for this? And when do Trailblazers send out the info?

My daughter has qualified and we are toying with the idea of going, just for the experience, but really need to have some idea of cost before we do anything else. Being school holidays, and loads of other stuff going on, I'd really like to know now whether this is likely to feature in our plans.

I have emailed Trailblazers, but thought I'd post on here to see if anyone could share experiences from last year.

Thanks :)

I know the showing dates are 27th & 28th July. Mare we bred has qualified in 2 classes after winning a final class & being ru in another last year, & we are trying to get there to see her last year. Website only gets updated every so often, so for questions I'd recommend you ring them.

They emailed back really quickly and have given me prices :). Packs are being sent out in the next few weeks.

Is there anyone who's been to the dressage that can tell me more about it? Is it just 1 test per day, or 1 warm up test and 1 actual test per day? Can riders have callers? We would love to hear more about it from anyone who has been.

I went in 2011, a friend went last year. Warm up test is optional, no callers allowed at Championships. Different test each day, I learnt the second one once I'd done the first. It did cost a small fortune but I enjoyed it so much was worth it xx

Well done to your daughter for qualifying.

Are you travelling from far? I know the stabling is quite pricey, and there is the Stoneleigh grounds clear up fee for each day which is about £17/day...

I have my second round tomorrow!! :D

Good luck with your second rounds :D. We are travelling from Kent but hopefully have someone to share transport with which will at least help with some of the costs.

Is the standard very high at junior prelim? Much as I am biased and think daughter and pony are great, I also think they were lucky to qualify at a venue that didn't have huge competition (ie not many juniors entered!) and a lot seems to depend on the mood of the pony on the day  as their scores arent very consistent. I'd hate her to go and come away feeling a bit inferior; I just think it would be a great experience for her and fun to take part.
