Hi, don't post very often and here is my second one in a matter of minutes.

OH and me are thinking of buying a trailer, now I quite fancy the Equik Trek with it being a side loader, but wondered if anyone has one/had one and could say what they are like. Any advice on any other trailer would be appreciated as well. Many thanks.

I have no experience of the equitrek, but I alwyas think they lok good.

we have an old Ward 3 horse trailer... it might be wooden and weigh 1.2ton but it's lovely, with loads of room in it for two big horses!

Hi, totally agree the Equik Trek do look lovely, but I don't know anyone who has one. One of our horses is a difficult loader and I have heard that the side loading is supposed to be better for the horses. Hopefully someone on here will have some more advice.

I have one - a space trekka L.

You will find different views on here. Some people aren't impressed at all but I really am.

I had an accident with an Ifor and I feel much safer with this.

Cob loads better in this and travels better too. The company I use (an Equi Trek dealer) are fab and reasonably priced too.

Despite its size it tows really well too. I tow it with a ford ranger and a toyota hi-lux.

The equitreks do look smart. We decided against one in the end when picking ours last year as they are so heavy. We don't need a trailer with living or anything, so we picked a lighter (and tbh better wearing) wessex olympian. Nice big trailer (like the ifor 510), stable to tow, with good suspension and nothing drops off it or goes mouldy!

Got my equi-trek 2 years ago, after owning a ifor williams for years before i am happy to say i would never go back!

Why i love Equi-trek-
Horses love travelling facing backwards and loading is very easy.
Great having the tack space at the front (really stops you car getting smelly!)
On raining show days you can safely tack up your horse in the box
Much more stable on the road
Lockable doors
Jockey door at the back and is full height so easier to access
So many gadgets available (tack lockers, saddle racks etc) - i just have the basic and made my own as could get very expensive!
Looks good too!

Think that about sums up the Equi-trek space trekka M for me anyway!
