Can anyone recommend somewhere to hire a single horse box, must be able to take up to 17hh, I have a double trailer but my horse can't balance very well in with the partition, and don't want to risk it without the partition, however have been thinking lately that he may be a lot better in a single trailer, but can't seem to find anywhere that hires them, want to try before i consider down grading my trailer, on the off chance it doesnt make a difference

Ideally around about the edinburgh area but will travel to collect and drop off if need be, as really want to see if it will work

Thanks

thanks i am tempted to give it a shot but wasn't sure if it would work, Taz is also a 17hh ID has never been able to balance well in the trailer since we bought it so have hardly used it because of this.

Can you recomend somewhere local to get a full width breast bar, also will i need a full width breach bar aswell?

Thanks

Def try without your partition and get front and rear full length bars. My young 17.2 is much happier this way as he spreads his feet and stands at an angle. Just google Ifor Williams agents in your area. X

I really think you will find a difference with a full breast bar and probably better than a single horse trailer but you need to try first before making any more expensive decision. I asked around friends and borrowed one a breast bar before I bought one. Alternatively, if you know someone handy like a blacksmith, they would be able to knock one up up to fit your trailer if you can't find one.

I would give folks who deal with selling/servicing trailers a call - folks like Rutherfords (at East Linton or Earlston), Peter Beck (lasswade) or John Gibson (skirling) to see if they can help.

Thank you :) going to speak to a few friends who have trailers and see f they have a full breast bar I could borrow, I really want to be able to compete in the summer when I am home from uni, but as he has gone through the partition twice, I would rather it wasn't there at all, thank you very much for your advice :) Will give peter beck a shout as that is who I bought my trailer from :)
