Any recommendations on companies to insure a trailer? Also, breakdown cover that includes transporting the horses if needs be?

Thanks :)

I found NFU gave the most competitive quote for the service levels provided. In our case it was a car and a 4x4 along with the trailer. Both vehicles needed class 1 business use cover for 2 drivers. The trailer was 'all risks' with agreed security of a wheel clamp. There is roadside recovery for both vehicles anywhere in UK with horse recovery in case of vehicle/trailer breakdown or accident.
To date have only had to use the vehicle recovery part once, a blown head gasket on the car. Service provided was good and I got a couple of calls checking that things were going OK.
The quote process was good. Quite a few other company's just wanted to make a drama out of the whole thing, it seemed that the telephone staff I spoke to at NFU actually lived in the real world and weren't phased by odd vehicle requirements.
Finally, if you have to pay monthly, then NFU have one of the lowest interest rates, which makes a real difference to the total you pay.

Prp rescue for breakdown. They do livestock as well which is actually why we have it, and also, they cover two of your vehicles (just have to give them your registrations and you can change it say you were using a friends car as a one off). They have attended a couple of times and been very good so far (not had a rescue involving a loaded trailer yet tho!)
