Would any of you kind folks be able to enlighten me on and recommend some insurance cover for the weekend hire of a trailer?

What price are we talking and what exactly will the insurance company need to know?

Thanks

i hire a trailer in Norfolk which requires own insurance and we suggest E and L as they are about the only ones who do day insurance. When i hired an Ifor to try for the day and insured it with them it cost around £5 for a weekend.

Thank you JHoward and Scribble, I will give them a ring today and see what’s what.

I take it they will need to know full details of the trailer like make, model and value and who will be driving etc?

My husband will be the driver so I’d need to give them his details, just finding out what info I need before I make arrangments.

Do they need a copy of the contract as well I wonder?

Cheers.

I do mine through E&L online. They need make, model, serial number and in which year it was made. It was £11 for 2 days or £14 for a month (go figure!) it takes about 2 mins to fill in details, pay and for them to email policy cover. Easy peasy :-)
