As the title pretty much. Horses are insured with AmTrust so am tempted to add the trailer (Ifor HB510) to their policy but not sure if this alters the price (too late to phone and ask!) and how their cover and quote compared to others....

Ta muchly :)

Ta :)

I'd realised it would increase the price but I worded it badly - what I meant was that a straight trailer quote (without horse insurance) was £90/year so wondered if by having the horse with them too (which she is) whether the price would come down at all?

Next question is that this isn't my trailer, its a friends that gets used a couple of times a year so he's told me I can use it freely - however due to it being kept locked away in his barn, onsite with his house, and his limited useage, he's never bothered to insure it.
I cannot find anything on AmTrusts website or T&C about having to be the owner of the trailer to insure and use it but wondered if this was the case? I'm sure if I needed to be an owner I could buy a "share" so legally it would satisfy the insurers but no-one is open on a Sunday to check and wondered if anyone had experience of this??
