We went to the beach yesterday, had a great time but marred with loading problems.

Bit of background: she came to me the perfect loader but I made the mistake of loading her onto a crappy trailer, I was green as grass and knew nothing about trailer safety then. The trailer partition snapped in two because her travel rug snagged on it and she dragged it out of the front ramp on top of her. You've never seen such a sorry excuse for a partition, it was made of botched together aluminium! Since then, she has been very wary of trailers though she will load if others put her on, but not me. I must be giving off "DANGER" pheromones.

I've tried the parelli way which works if I have the time to do it (sometimes an hour), but the scenario yesterday was on a road with cars/trailers/bikes/dogs/kids coming past and it's just not practical. I already load in a pressure halter and lunge ropes behind the bum haven't worked. She plants and switches off, you can see her expression glaze over. Without going down a specialist call-out route, how the heck can I get her over the stickiness?

Do u open the front door if it has front unload? My boy has been loading fine until yesterday. Planted his feet and that was that. Took 3 of us on both journeys to gey him in. I realised it was the first tim I had not opened the front ramp therefore very dark....I will test this theory next week but it MIGHT be a little something simple to think about? Good luck.
