Trailer mounting step - anyone got one?

When I go hunting I struggle to get on and there is rarely anything to stand on to use as a mounting block when you're in the middle of a field. I don't want to take a mounting block/steps with me as I find they are usually too small and/or unstable and I don't want to leave them out all day. Recently someone saw me struggling and suggested I use a step someone had fitted to the back of their trailer. It was great but I never found out who the owner was to ask where they'd had it fitted. When I got back to the meet the trailer had gone as I had planned to take a photo or see if it had a name on it. It flipped down from the closed ramp and was very solid. I've tried to look for one online but can't find anything similar.

Has anyone had a mounting step fitted onto their trailer? If so, do you have any pics or know where I can get one from?

I saw the Mounting Mate on H&H yesterday but I don't want to leave my ramp down all day.

Do you mean a MountEasy? It's on my wishlist. I would be interested to hear from someone who uses one.

£150 + postage seems a little expensive for a mounting block?

We got a folding step from Countrywide, seems very stable, was about £5 in their sale, folds up to take up almost no space.

I tied bailer twine to the handle so when its folded flat I can hang it up in the nose of the trailer (ifors have a handy hook). I've left it stood by my trailer at several shows etc and it's never gone missing, cheap enough to replace if it did though.

That metal trailer step thing looks okay but I would never be able to get my gelding to stand next to it like that, at least i can chase him around with the stool!

I have two milk crates fixed together with cable ties that I use for hunting .
I also have a lovely curver folding step in the truck which a super mounting step and I use it in the lorry .
I got the milk crates after a friend got her step pinched when she left it by the trailer .
