Trailer nose weights..ROG?

How much weight would you expect an average trailer, say a Ifor 511 or equivalent, with two 500kg horses on board plus the usual accoutrements, to put on the tow bar? Is there any way of measuring this?

If a tow bar was rated as having a maximum nose weight capacity of 140kg, would this be a concern if it was needed to tow a horse trailer?

I think you will find that most will transfer between 50 and 75 kg from trailer to vehicle unless the trailer has been loaded very badly

I know people who put a Shetland in the nose of the trailer......always wondered how they get away with it.....
