Right I have no idea what trailers can hold at all. I know the weight limit is something to do with the car gross weight or something. But I am wanting to know what height limits could go into a trailer? My friend wants to take my horse a 17.2 poss bigger and her 15.2 to a show and i think that my horse would be too big? I dont have a clue though? I said just hire a wagon to save the bother but am just curious would my boy fit?

I have seen another horse bigger than mine fit easily into one side of the partition, ok this is really not making any sense at all but hey if you can figure any of this out then please help

And I think the car they would use to tow the trailer would be some nissan jeep but not sure are they have a lot of big cars that can tow as they have a digger company so need towable cars to tow the diggers.

Any ideas please, Oh no clue what the trailer is not seen it yet. xx

Different trailers have different height capacites. My Bateson holds 2 17.2HH horses, but there is a Richardson with even greater height. You would need to know what the trailer is.

Regards weight, I tow with a Sorento - towing capacity = 2800kg. 2 horses = 1000kg (TBs) plus the trailer weighs 870kg, so I am okay to tow. Again - different cars have different maximum braked trailer weight - Hope this helps a bit?!!

my Equitrek Show Trekka L takes 2 17.3hhs with ease. Think the Ifor 510s take 2 17.2hh so dont think you would have such a problem.
Thing you need to check is the weight limit on your car. Our disco has a weight capacity of 3.5 tonnes so we have no problems with our trailer with 2 large horses in.

Lol thanks will need to see what the trailer is. I couldnt explain myself properly as I wasnt exactly sure what I was asking

I will find out what trailer it is, Im pretty sure its new anyway not that its much help lol.

How would I know how heavy my horse is? I dont have scales big enough lol.x

Thanks for that Im glad be a waste not to use the trailer when its their. Will have to check the weight limit for the cars I know they have that could tow them. Put my mind at ease now and it will be cheaper to use a trailer than hire a wagon. x

I use a weigh tape on mine - don't know how accurate it is though! I am sure someone on here would have a rough idea if they know his breed / height / see a photo? His weight shouldn't have too much effect on it TBH unless he is a clydesdale / shire type! I wouldn't think that he & the other horse weigh more than 1500kg together, and most trailers are around the 1000kg weight, so anything that can tow 2800kg upwards should be adequate - although as per the other reply, if the car tows 3500kg you are really laughing!
