To those of you who own trailers:

where do you park your trailer and do you insure it, if so how much?

Ooh and how often do you use it? Enough to justify having it?

Just a few random questions.....

Thanks...

My trailer is parked at the yard, and has a wheel clamp and hitch lock clamp thing on it. It is insured with SEIB. It has been a boon having it - not used it that much this year, but it is still cheaper than hiring transport for when I have been away with the horse.

ETA - not sure how much it costs to insure, as I have a joint policy with the horse. Pretty reasonable though.

Mine is parked at the yard and I pay £5 a week. It is secured with a hitch lock and wheel lock. I insure it. Have only had it a few months and have been out 4 times so far, would have done more but have been busy.

Mine costs about £100 a year to insure. I keep it at home so no problem for me (horse is at home).

When I first bought it, my hubby was totally against the idea as I had a permanent option to borrow my pals and very rarely did. Thats cos I dont like using someone elses unless I have to. I use my own 2 or 3 times a month so it costs less than it would to hire one.

Mind you, I bought it with my "stopping smoking" money! I stopped and used the money to buy a motorbike on hp and then once I'd paid that, I bought my trailer. I was used to the money going out so I didnt miss it :D
