trailer test in Ireland?

looking to relocate from UK, but as per driving liscence laws (passed post 1997) dont have a trailer liscense. I am assuming that will need one to tow horse trailer in Ireland, but debating if it will be cheaper/easier to do it in UK or Ireland?
