My son is wanting to take his trailer test and we need to know where he can learn how to pass the test and take it. He has been driving tractors and trailers for years and thinks that he knows it all.
Hi,
Whilst I cann't help you with a name in your area, I can advise you to google LGV trainers in your area as the syllabus and the test is the same as LGV catergory C drivers take. apart from a gear changing exercise and reversing into the coned garage b+e test only need to stop on the yellow area which is 90 cm wide. I teach b+e in the southwest and would only advise training with someone with LGV experience.
Car driving instructors without C+E license haven't got a clue never having driven LGV's. I have 17 years experience of LGV driving and 13 years as a grade 6 DSA Approved Driving Instructor, but believe it or not no license is required to teach catergory B+E. PM if you require more information

Tockwith Training - www.tockwithtraining.co.uk/. I passed my trailer test with them in 2006 (albeit at the third attempt, but not their fault they were very thorough!). They organise the tests for you too if you like.
