trailer test woes :(

well cant find anyone roumd me that does them. Need to pass test asap, else all hard work I have put in with nag over past few months will have gone down the drain as I cant get out atm.

Does anyone know of anywhere in the country that does intensive courses?

a place in essex does - think you need to google trailer test intensive / or hgv intensive as most do trailer test as well good luck.

What are the rules nowadays about driving a trailer or a small horse box? I have started to think about renting transport so that we can start going competing but I am not sure what I need to do??

if you passed your test after 1997 ( i think i passed in 2001 ) you can only tow up to 750kg inc trailer weight so horse boxes are a no no. I can drive a 3.5 t lorry thugh

I did mine at React in Reading and I can't recommend them enough

They recommend a 3 day course with the test on the 3rd day for people with trailer driving experience and 5 day course with test on 5th day for people with no trailer experience.

It cost me about £700 including the £90 test

Whereabouts are you? I did mine with Tockwith Training - www.tockwithtraining.co.uk (i think!). They do intensive courses, certainly there are 3 day ones but I think you can go for a whole week if you want to. They will book the test for you as well and take you there and back.

I trained (quite a few years back now!) with Drivecraft (www.drivecraft.co.uk). They are just outside Daventry, Northants & they have an old runway to practice on. Made it really easy. Think I did 4 hours training!! Good luck..

Hi I do B+E Trailer Towing intensive courses down in devon if you fancy 3 days in sunny Devon. Just put a lad through last week, he passed 1st attempt after 2 days training. oh he could reverse before hand which helps.I will pm you my website address.
