My gorgeous hubby has bought me Trailer Vision Digimax as one of my presents. He is going to fit it tomorrow or Sunday and is not sure of the best place to put the camera. The instructions are pretty rubbish and suggest the back of the trailer?? I want to see my girls face not her butt

Where have you got yours??

Thanks guys, hope you're having a great day xx

I have mine at the front of the trailer just to the right of the centre if that makes sense? The camera is moveable and you soon get to know exactly where to point it to get the best picture!! I love mine its one of the best presents ever!

I have a camera in my trailer. I have it screwed at the front facing the heads but my horse moves it out of shot with her nose so really I should`ve put it at the back so I can see everything. I think I would see more if it was at the back actually cos at the front all I can see is a big head filling the screen whereas at the back I would see her neck and head etc.
Just my opinion.

My friend has a camera in her trailer it is at the top in the middle of the back end if that makes sence?! You can see the full length of the horses back the neck and the head so you can see them boths eating etc....
Like peanot said its pretty pointless if all you can see is a huge out of focus head. If I had one I'd put it at the back too!

I was planning to put my trailer camera at the rear until I had the following advice.

Spoke to a trailer dealer who had gone to a presentation by the Hampshire Fire Brigade. In the event of a trailer disaster, your horse may be dragged out of the rear of the trailer.

Items such as camera mountings, are a potential hazard to the horse as it is being removed.

Whilst I hope Iwill never need this sort of assistance, the trailer camera has been placed at the front.

Thanks for your replies, hhmm food for thought as there are pros and cons to each way. I never thought about the emergency exit thing. I think my cameras are wide angle maybe I need hubby to stand in the trailer and hold them so I can see which is best!!!!
