Can anyone recommend a trailer wheel lock for an Ifor Willaims 510 to go over wheel trims? My old lock had to be cut off this morning so I need to buy a replacement but I'm adding wheel trims as the wheels are looking rather the worse for wear!

I bought a a BullDog 2nd hand for my Ifor- it's a total a**e to put on, and you get your fingers bitten and lose the skin off your knuckles until you get the hang of it, but it's reasurringly sturdy and only take a minute once you've got the hang of it. Once you have got the right place for the 3 arms, I found it helps to mark it with spray paint or marker pen, to speed things up in future.

one of these - red ones

I got a bog-standard easy-to-put-on one; Halfords I think. Yellow in colour. Sorry can't remember the brand of it but I like things non-tech uncomplicated and simple and this suffices.

Don't have an IW trailer but do have wheel trims and this one does the job OK. Didn't cost a bomb either.

Ehmm........ just remember to take it off after you've loaded Dobbin up to come home and pull off.......... yeaph, been there dunnit.

It was a three-armed one we had to cut off as the key wasn't working, it was about 30 years old though so we'd had our money's worth.

The Bulldog Titan linked to above is the Rolls Royce of wheel clamps, but it doesn't fit over a plastic clip on wheel trim. It's the clamp we have.

EM, we've got the same problem of rusty wheels spoiling the look of our otherwise smart looking 16 yo 510 trailer. Our trailer servicing chap can get the wheels sandblasted and resprayed to look like new for IIRC £30/wheel, and you could diy it for much less with a bit of elbow grease. Not that we've actually got round to doing that yet, though!

I'm picking up my 505 next week and need a wheel clamp. Are the Bulldog ones the highest standard ? I assume mine will have a plastic wheel arch so presumably the Titan won't work?
(Getting a hitch lock from the dealer)
