I've got an older Ifor Williams 505, not a swinging partition one.
Yesterday was the first time I'd taken Patches out in the trailer with my friend's horse.
Even though both were tied tightly, he was turning towards Patches alot which as a mare she clearly wouldn't like. If he was to do that at any other time there would be much squealing and striking with front legs. When we arrived (bear in mind we were only travelling for about 10 mins) Patches had a small cut on her nose which I assume is either a bite mark or she's knocked it reeling away from him.
The trailer has two slots on the front of the partition's upright bar to fix a head guard which would stop this happening. However, being an older trailer I can't source a genuine one.
Any-one got one in their trailer that you could take a pic for me and explain how it fixes so I can see what I need to have made? (even if you have a newer model).
I'm assuming they fix right to the front of the trailer too, to stop them swinging.
We're booked to go to another ride a good hour's travelling in two weeks. My friend doesn't have a trailer, so obviously I'll be towing them both. I don't really want to risk injury to either of them if he was to keep making advances to her whilst standing so close.
