Hi
Just on the verge of buying my first trailer - very excited. I have been warned against getting an Ifor Williams as they are more likely to get stolen, is this true? Would be a shame as I have seen a nice one in my price range.
Can anyone recommend a good company to insure a trailer with - Ive seen quotes ranging from £60 to £200 but really just want cover for theft and a company that is honest and easy to deal with - any suggestions?
Thanks

I have an Ifor Williams, as long as it's securely parked with a clamp and you lock the trailer I dont see why it would be anymore likely to be stolen? Mine is insured with NFU through my horse's insurance and isn't very costly per year, maybe an additional £12 per month, something like that, and it's a brand new trailer and is insured for the full value.

Not sure why it's more likely to be stolen, possibly because of brand name??? Doubt it would increase your insurance much if at all. I have a bateson & it costs me around an extra £6 per month on my horse insurance! :) I bought a bateson as it was lighter to tow ( only had small jeep at time but now upgraded) after buying, realised they unload to the left which is a lot safer in emergency situations as means you wouldn't need to unload into traffic like many of my friends ifors! Good luck with your trailer shopping- fun times ahead :D
