Trailers and road ferry! anyone tried it?

Just found an event I'd like to do and multimap says its an hour away which is usually my limit with the trailer but just talking to the OH and he asked if it was going over the road ferry. I looked and it is but to go round adds 45mins to my journey which almost doubles it!

just wondering if anyone has taken theirs on a road ferry and how it went? the ferry people could only tell me it regularly takes 2 tractors across so thought there'd be room but couldn't tell me much else.

For anyone local to me i'm talking about reedham ferry and the vehicle is a nissan pathfinder with an ifor 505 and a well behaved 14.3hh lightweight on board.

If it's anything like the sandbanks chain ferry then you should be ok. I'm sure people have taken many a horse on there as the other side is very popular beach riding...
