Is it me, or am I looking in the wrong place? Thinking of selling my trailer and am trying to gauge prices. But on looking on ebay and oreloved - there just aren't many there. Am I looking in the wrong leave, or is it a weird market at the moment?

They're on FB, I think where people advertise has changed. No fees on fb like there is on eBay. Plus lots of specific groups for either trailers or 3.5/7.5 boxes plus local equestrian groups on there etc.

Ah! Thank you. I hardly use fb these days so have missed that! I previously bought and sold trailers on ebay but don't really trust it any more. :)

eBay increased their fees and %’s by quite a lot I know that’s why I stopped selling on there. Plus there seemed to be more and more time wasters or scammers on there then there used to be. FB is by no means perfect but I think because you can advertise for free and target local horsey groups it’s a lot more popular now.

I was reading something the other day on a Facebook group I think about there being a long wait for new Ifor Williams trailers as they were waiting on parts. So I guess secondhand would sell really quickly. Trailers always seem to sell well anyway.

There are massive waiting times with the manufactures at the moment and the change in towing law means that trailers are selling almost as soon as they’re advertised.

Well after posting asking about trailer prices a week or two ago and being told how much of s shortage there is, I now have mine advertised on FB on lots of pages plus marketplace and was merrily expecting my hand to be bitten off - so far zero interest apart from a few tags!

Same here Horse Maid, a couple of people have offered 2/3 of what it's advertised at - without viewing or asking much so I guess they are dealers expecting to make a quick turn. Mine is old but 510 and well looked after so IMHO holds its value.
I think come March when the shows start up again they will start to actually sell

Mine's nearly ready to advertise but I'm a bit stuck.

I still can't see any comparable ones around to get an idea of price. They're either a few years older or a few years newer, or different model. If anyone is good at this, would you mind if I pm'd you?
