My daughter is about to start competing so I need to sort out transport. I only have car licence B. I am nervous about pulling a trailer anyway as never done it before. I like the idea of a 3.5 horse van. Could anyone give me advice on which would be better?

WELCOME :)

Swings and roundabouts ....

Do you need a 4X4 for bad surfaces? - if not then perhaps a normal car will suffice ...

Will a purpose built 3.5 tonne horsebox van get used enough to warrant buying it ?

A trailer can be stored without really having a lot of ongoing costs

Perhaps if you told us how often you need to transport the horse we might be able to give you some better ideas

RE - reversing a trailer

If you have an area near you where you can take the empty trailer to and play with it then you will pick it up in no time - perhaps an empty supermarket car park on a sunday evening ...

Whe reversing a trailer keep right foot over brake pedal - no using the accelerator - control the speed with the clutch

If you are near Leicester LE4 then I can help you for FREE
