I know I'm a pain in the ar*e but want to get this right!

I think I'll probably go for the Nissan Terrano 2.7 d.

so I need to find a nice trailer that will fit 2 big boys in. needs to have front unload and be quite roomy. I don't mind buying one new. the easier to tow the better as I'm new to this!

any ideas/suggestions?

Oh yes and pink would be nice.....actually I've been told I'm not allowed a pink one (don't know why).....

i have ifor 510 - ok if they are thoroughbredy/warmblood types - but you wont get 2 17hh cob types in them...

Depends how much money you want to spend

There are nice equitrek ones - but have a feeling they need a really powerful/ heavy tow vehicle... They are the ones I've been looking at.

will def only be the lighter types....

I like the look of the chevau liberte ones but wanted to make a grown up decision rather than go on looks

i have a 17.2 ID x and sometimes tow him and my friends 17 Warmblood.

Tried loads of different trailers and found the Ifor Williams HB510 the best - so easy to tow it just follows the car around the corners and breaking is a breeze. Trust me go for an IFor all the way.

This is my 16.2hh in a Rice B60. Very roomy and easily up to 17.hh. Richardson goes to 7'8 headroom and is cheaper but I preferred the Rice B60 quality of finish , B60 is 7'6 but also longer and wider than average. Comes with loads of extras too.Has opening windows, saddle racks, water carrier, first aid kit, carry nets, fibreglass/plastic floor, rubber matting etc. I love it. My horse travels much better in a bigger box and the length makes such a difference as she is no longer sitting on the ramp. She is much happier.

Tows well but is heavy to manouevre by hand.

Bateson Ascot gets my vote - better suspension than the IWs, front unload on the near-side rather than road-side, integrated tack locker and reversing mirror.

We did a lot of research and are now on our fourth trailer, which is an Ifor bought new. We had a Rice, which we would have kept had Troggy not given up horses when she went to uni. Ha ha. Then we had a very small, light Bahill (no longer manufactured) then we had Weezy's Fautras Oblique, which was incredibly heavy and we couldn't fit two horses in. We looked at the Cheval Liberte but really didn't like the build quality (sorry GM!), and we also looked at the Batesons but didn't like the interior. We eventually decided on the Ifor because of resale value, value for money, build quality and cost. I know a lot of people don't like them, but there are a lot of them around so there are bound to be more problems. But like Discoveries!

another vote for Rice/Richardson they are lovley quality build and not as rattly as an ifor and the front unload is on the left (passanger side) so you never have to unload into the road in an emergency or dropping off at the field etc.
Had mine 10+ years now and it's cost me the grand total of £500 in that time inc the new floor (mines wooden).
