Just clicked on this link and saw 4 days training in scotland in november but it's nearly $5000 !! Is it me or is this a bit expensive?? you do get to stay in the hotel etc so it's a mini holiday i suppose but still ... maybe put it on my christmas list (hmm not really !) the first lady to teach me to ride when i was 5 said she used to have lessons with him although this isn't quite what i imagined, 5 star accomodation of course

just a bit. That sort of money would gets you half way to buying quite a decent horse!! Looks like it's aim at Americans. Gleneagles is the golf place isn't it? Bit 'poash' for us hho's!

I think that program is likely aimed primarily at couples where one partner is a golf nut and the other rides - quite a common state of affairs, particularly amongst the sort of people who could afford that sort of thing. Gleneagles does a lot of American business so this might be an offer to bring the wife (most likely) along to do something she wants to do.
