William is a big, strapping WB who's owner enjoys dressage with. A few years ago he was sent away to be broken in by local dressage trainer. The owner didn't know the dressage trainer was the draw reins, whips and psychotic type. This trainer ruins many horses, and has killed at least one. Alot of the horses under her regime lay down in the school and give up!

William is now over the worst but will panic if he is pushed too far. Owner is a sympathetic rider and does well with him.

William occasionally had sudden explosions, next day he would be fine. Last month her threw owner off and hurt her quite badly. She used her brain and got him looked at. Vet scoped him and found some nasty ulcers.

He's on treatment. When he's better, owner wants to start afresh with him. She wants to send him to a trainer that will start again without abusing him. She is hoping to find someone near Lancs but will travel if necessary.

I suggested Richard Maxwell. What do you suggest?

Blackpool, but she is willing to travel for the right person.

She made a mistake in trusting the woman who broke him in, so she is only willing to consider sending him to someone with an excellent, personal recommendation rather than relying on a list.

I know of a fantastic young man called Simon from Blyth, Northumberland.
He is patience personified, uses gentle methods and comes highly reccomended by lots of people in Northumberland.
Check him out on Giddyup North, his username is SBS.
If you prefer PM me and I will pass on his number.

Have you tried Tracey Woodhead..am not sure if she is still based at Weelsby Park Riding School,Grimsby...but if she is she is very sympathetic and VERY good :) x
