Trainer suggested vulcanite pelham

My trainer has suggested I buy my youngster a vulcanite pelham and she is such a great trainer that any advice from her has always been brilliant. Trying to find a vulcanite one under £30 and the right size has been difficult so does anyone know if the hard or soft rubber pelhams are any good?

Personally I prefer a hard rubber Pelham, the soft rubber can be too chewable and I find the vulcanite too hard and unyielding.
