Put the gifts in one place preferably a bin?!?

I’ve always had cats but they have always been neat and tidy and last one didn’t hunt at all cause he didn’t see the point. The girls are very much doing the jobs they were hired for which is great, but they leave their little trophies in the stable hall way. Multiple little treasures daily. One of the horses stood on one today 🤢

Is it daft to think that they can be trained to put them somewhere else?

They are trying to provide for you, so they'll always put them in a high traffic area where they know you'll see it. Mine always drop them on the doorstep! No idea how you could persuade them otherwise without completely changing your routine.

Mine comes in the cat flap to drop them at my feet…..he certainly feels responsible for doing his bit! I have to catch him coming in and if there’s anything in his mouth say firmly “out!” …he does a swift 180 and is on the front mat with it, leaving me a gallbladder to stomp on 🤨
