Does anybody know of a decent eventing yard (good facilities etc) within 1-2 hours of SE London/Kent where you can take your (Intro/PN) horses for a week intensive training and possibly work/exercise horses on the yard to lower the costs?
It doesn't have to be any Name in particular; just someone with good BE record, decent flatwork (sorry, I am just a classical riding snob and can't learn from someone with their legs/hands all over the place

) and ideally good at show-jumping (horsey lacking a bit there!).

Any ideas welcomed

May be worth trying Sam Griffiths at Hoplands, he seems to always be on the lookout for people to help exercise and the facilities there are fab. He's apparently a very good trainer though I dont know how classical he is!!

Might be worth giving Gill Watson a ring, she's at Quainton Stud now. You won't be able to go during the J/YR training weeks, but outside of that she'd probably be able to take you. And just ask if there's anything you can do to lower costs - could be that they've a week where someone's booked holiday and they're needing someone.

Thank you! will have a look.

The reason I would like someone with good, correct flatwork is that I love the dressage phase, am committed to correct, horse-friendly training and wouldn't like any gang-ho approach to it

i have had a flat lesson with him and found i very useful.. i have also seen him ride on the flat and he is a very sympathetic rider..
