We're on the lookout for a good training class for our shepherd bitch in Manchester - we're actually in Bolton, but don't mind travelling TOO far.

Not many requirements but the class MUST be used to dealing with reactive dogs and dogs with fear and socialisation problems, not too much of a fortune and generally somewhere where myself and Roxy can progress and increase in confidence happily.

I'd LOVE to eventually start agility or flyball with her as she's bloody fast, so full of energy (we walked round the park for an hour and a half yesterday and she went for a swim in the river and she still just wanted to play when we got back!) and I think she'd thrive on that sort of 'work'.

If anyone has any ideas, contacts etc can you let me know??
Thanks! :)

Breed specific, try the GSDL or BAGSD websites/contacts for your nearest club, Agilitynet for agility clubs.

Fab CC thanks :)

She's great off lead on a little patch of woodland we have near us now but we haven't chanced it anywhere else just yet and I know she'll need a lot of work before we try (and have a laugh!) agility!

Probably stating the obvious but have you tried Bolton GSD Club (I'm sure you must have as I recall your dad used to be involved with them). There is a schutzhund club in the area but don't know if they do basic obedience.
Hopefully there will be a club on one of the websites CC has suggested.

For a few different reasons, we wouldn't go back to B&DGSD. We became relied on far too much and we ended up having no time to train our own dogs, amongst other factors.
I don't know if schutzhund clubs would be a good idea for Roxy but tbh I haven't had any experience with them - I know their obedience has to be flawless, but I'm just not sure if it would be a good idea...
I've found a few on the sites CC has given me, so I'll be getting in touch with them and seeing if they want to take us on! :)
