Hi all

I have been speaking to my instructor about this but I would like other peoples advice/ideas please?

I have just moved my horses so have access to a school so i am able to exercise more. Please can you give me some ideas for a 'training programme ' so to speak. I am only able to hack out weekends due to light so would like some variety. I have use of jumps, poles, pole pods (not sute of correct name - raises poles) and i can lunge in the school.

Thank you in advance ☺

It depends on the level you are at and what you are aiming for as to what would be a suitable plan but generally you need to work on the horse as a whole, so use all paces and plenty of variety in the work, to make improvements so a mix of flatwork, polework, jumping and if you think it would help to lunge then maybe a lunge session once a week or fortnight, use the weekends to get as much hacking as possible.

Maybe just do 1 flatwork session, 1 jumping session, 1 lunging session and 1 hack a week to start off with. It's variety and being worked 4 times a week and you can up it if you want.
