how pretty, his coat is just iridiscent!!! the bigger trot looks amazing!!! and can I say ZE TAIL!!!!! fabulous on all accounts :)

can I just say, he's just about the most handsome Arab I've ever seen. Really makes you believe in the breed.

OOOOOH he is LOVELY. Really really gorgeous boy!!!

His paces look big, light and open, especially open for an Arab which surprises me in a really good way. Real tribute to the breed!!

Kudos to you and him, because all your hard work and training is clearly paying off! Good luck for all your showing and comps :)

Thank you for your lovely comment :D

Thanks Nikki I have worked SO hard on him, he's SO SO bendy though it amazes me haha he can just float across a steep half pass on a loose rein then just go the other way, yet he is very straight and correct!!!
He was getting very 'lazy' last year so this year I have really 'jazzed' him up, as he finds everything so very easy he thinks he can get away with just going along nice and quietly so have been really pushing him to get the best out of him!!! I have been doing lots and lots of transitions and collection-extension ect just to make him light but 'big'

'monkeybum' haha I got them from ebay :D they are great I love them hahaha!!! search 'SSG gloves' :D

Gosh you do sound like you have been working hard. I know the feeling, they look and feel like a totally different horse when you bring them up and push them forwards! Give yourself a massive pat on the back, because he looks fab and it's all down to you :D

I was just thinking the other day that we hadn't seen pics of your boy for ages :).

I don't really like arabs :o but love him, can you promise to posts lots more piccies from now on please? :D

I'm not normally an arab-liker, they do NOTHING for me but my god he's a bit gorgeous!!
I actually swooned on seeing him, which is the highest accolade for a horse, especially for an arab!!

Can I ask (I'm really sorry I'm sure you get asked this loads) why he has such a long bridle path? Breed thing? Showing thing? Completley clueless, not seen it before, and just curious :D

I love the bond that you so clearly have with him, it's amazing.
I think he is literally poetry in motion, he is a truly stunning horse, a once in a lifetime sort of horse! I adore Arabs because I had a super PBA, could step over a 1m40 course and do extended trot for fun, when you get a good one they are so stupidly athletic. Mine was out of a pure bred Arab stallion (malan) out of a welsh x tb mare, he was quite big considering at 15.3hh. I feel envious looking at your photos as it makes me miss my late boy, I have to just imagine that floating feeling when riding now!
Good luck for your showing :).

I LOVE Arabs (I actually married one ha ha ha)! But seriously, they are so misunderstood. I have an Anglo-Arab (same breed as my children :)). I've had my boy since he was retired from the track aged just 3 (In Morocco they have a special class of race just for A/Arabs which is separate from TB's). He jumps, does dressage and I've even popped him over a few x-country type fences. They can really do so much. I'm a bit surprised that so many of the comments are from people who don't like Arabs much. I wonder why that is? They look so beautiful. Perhaps I'll start a new thread and find out? Anyway, well done with your gorgeous boy - he looks like a real star.

Thank youuu all :D

oh and Ester just for you here's a pic from SJ schooling the other day as I know you like an arab that 'does things' ;D hahaha

Thankies, I was kinda going to ask if you were still jumping him, that kind of speaks for itself :D :D He is just fabby, even if he isn't quite a welsh D!

Beautiful, just beautiful.

The way he's listening to you, the way he moves. Brought a lump to m'throat.

Reminded me of an Arab stud I worked on a million years ago. One of the stallions, an absolute ar&e in the stable, but in the school... The extended trot was like floating, and so straight and true. The most amazing feeling.

You two are a credit to each other.

awww thank you all he's a special lad, and like someone has already said when you get a good arab you get an amazing one, and a friend for life <3

he is just everything to me my best friend as cheesy as it sounds!!!

Yes still jumping him Ester he's coming on well, my friends comes over and gives me a lesson occasionally as working on his technique more getting him jumping nearer too the fence and neater!!!

Although I haven't had a chance to go xc this year yet *cries* as the ground had just hardened SO quickly and I like to wait till around end of March/April so he's fit enough but the ground being so hard I don't want to have an accident with him and ruin our confidence as he really is a machine xc!!! lets pray for a bit of rain so I can get out xcing!!!

thanks again!!!

Hes sure does, he is just lovely!!

As for the reason people don't like Arabs.... I'd take a stab at the fact that most people will immediately think of the 'snort and blow' swan-necked show Arab... they are the 'Poodle' of the horse world, they were bred originally as a hardy working type too......

And I am an Arab lover, (have my own PBA) but do prefer the solid leg-at-each corner type yours looks like, he is simply stunning! :)
