Training Young Horse. Book Recommendations.

Looking for recommendations of books about training foals/young horses. I have many from when I bought my 3 year old Arab 16 years ago. However, I am a bit out of the loop re up to date ideas. I have in a moment of madness, bought a foal who will be coming to me November/December time. (My daughter has too.) I feel confident that all will be fine, however I am always happy to learn new things, hence requesting advice re books. Many thanks

The Richard Maxwell book 'Training the young horse' is great, covers from weaning to backing

I had (still have) a VHS tape by Pippa Funnell on trainng your young horse. There is an accompanying book. This is from ridden only.
I bought it when I was learning to ride (aged 61) so as to have a video of an adult riding because I had my own lessons along side tiny kids. I didnt know enough to understand what she was doing. But I do recall her teaching the horse not to spook and when I began to ride out myself and a problem arose, my lovely escort used to say, Come on Skib, time for your Pippa Funnell act.

When I got Herbie 34 year ago I got a book called foal to 5 years. It served us well

ABC of Breaking and Schooling by Josephine Knowles.
Pippa Funnell did a very good book about schooling the young eventer (or any horse really)

I think it would be good to read four or more books and cherry pick the best bits from each.
