I have to share, I'm still over excitied. Took one of my filly foals to the Heart of England BEF Futurity yesterday and not only did she get awarded a first premium but also took the Top Dressage Foal award!

I thought she was a good foal and to have this vindicated by the panel of judges was incredible. She was the youngest foal there too, and amazingly at the Arena UK round, we also took the top dressage foal award with another filly, who was also the youngest foal forward.

So not only has then been a huge boost for our breeding program but as a big fan of Trakehners I am also thrilled. Our filly is a pure bred by Tycoon and the 2nd and 3rd placed dressage foals were out of Trakehner dams.

Well Done

We didnt get any photos yesterday, so will have to wait for the offical photographers to get them on line.

This is her at home though as you can see she is rather moth eaten at present, hopefully sheding out a lovely liver chestnut like her dam.

Magic104, dont worry I shall be making sure her great results get in the next newsletter! She's going to the Trakehner breed show in 2 weeks so I hope the German judges like her! The TBF website is going to be completely revamped soon so should have more info and news on it then

We've had a 2yo pure bred filly do brilliantly for my boss this season, taking Hack Breeding Champion at the Royal Show, Loose Jumping winner at East of England and last week was Hack Champion again and Overall Non Native Youngstock Champ at Ponies UK. Some big names in the showing world are not impressed by a dirty warmblood doing well in the show ring, but her results speak for themselves.

TBF need to do something with the website have you seen how old the photos are! It is not a site doing much in the way of promoting the breed. And yes I understand it takes someones time & this is unpaid, but perhaps some of our subscribtion could go into a bit of investment. Also I dont think there is much support or encouragment for the PB's. I will be taking my lad, but only for the experience as he has not been out since a foal. He should be over his op, had his 1st day out after 2wks of box rest & seems to be fine. I expect him to come last, he does not have the best of necks & he does not have the movement but he needs an outing.

We've got a filly in the yearling part bred class so please come and say hello. Be nice to put a face to the name.

Also any thoughts and ideas you have about promoting part breds, please PM or email me with them. I am the new part bred registrar and like you really want to see more for the part breds
