Hi all,
I have had to recently retire my 16.3 tb x, and I am now looking to take his shoes off. He is barefoot behind currently.
Until recently was ridden and would only become footy on big stony tracks, other wise would go over anything without issue.
He is fully retired, so wont go out hacking etc.
Just a question regards anything can change/add to feed to help with transition.
Current Diet:
1 stubbs scoop: Dengie Healthy Hooves
1 stubbs scoop: Pony Nuts
1 cupful Linseed (charnwood)
1 stubbs scoop Speedibeet (soaked)
Joint supplement
He is out 24/7 at the moment on decent grazing and holding his weight well.
When he comes in at night ( when weather changes will be on adlib hay)
Farrier is due out in a few weeks so will be getting him to take his shoes off then.
Thanks in advance.
