Does anyone else have a TransK9 dog transit box? I am looking into getting one for my Toyota pickup truck, but would like to know if they are worth the money (they are rather expensive ... but very nice).

We have one - it's brilliant.

Designed for hard use, pretty indestructible - we have working cockers and it's great when they're filthy after a shoot to put them in and know they're safe and comfortable!

We bought ours off preloved - couldn't quite justify the brand new price!

Just to add - it's currently in my Hilux, but also goes in the Landcruiser and the Invincible (can you tell we are a Toyota family lol! )

The only complaint I have about it is that it's awkward and heavy to move between vehicles - virtually impossible by myself - although I have done it - think of Julie Walters in the Victoria Wood soup sketch! !)

Yeah, they're pretty good. Nearly bought one but the way the doors opened didn't suit the shape of the back of my car. Still sitting in a mate's shed AFAIK. I wouldn't describe it as hugely roomy though.

Which model did you get spacefaer? I will be using it mainly for one GSD in the intial term, but it will need to fit two GSDs in the future.

CC - it is the space inside that I am a little worried about.

Fabulous dog boxes but heavy to move between cars. The vehicle finder on their website is pretty good and maximises the space available.

Mine is a B21 in an xtrail. Fits one medium lab and a Springer

If you are short of space for big dogs it's best to fit a guard between the boot and the rear seats and also a tailgate guard with a door. This won't protect the boot interior though.

Decided to let hubby treat me to an early Christmas present and have one on order. Pick-up truck valeted last week and now just waiting for delivery of my fancy new dog box. Poor dog doesn't realise he won't be travelling in comfort on the back seat any more, but in style (and safety) in his new crate instead :D
