Hi Guys,

A friend on the Chronicle forums posted this and is looking for help deciphering what it all means.

I figured someone from here might be able to help.

Her post:

I am considering purchasing a horse that has a British Showjumping record but I am having trouble deciphering the results! I am an eventer so I'm afraid I'm a fish out of water! There are classes listed like BNOV, D, 5NQ, SCBR, C, F. Also it lists POS, ACTUAL, and NOTIONAL.....I thought my friends over in this forum might be able to help shed some light!

I am linking her to this thread so go ahead and post here and I'll make sure that she sees it.

Thanks a ton!

Em

BN= British Novice
D= Discovery
SCBR = Scope Blue Riband qualifier. You have to be in 1st 6 of a qualifying fox to qualify for this class at scope. Show on horses record as SCBR instead of F for foxhunter. I had to google that one!

Notatonal, actual are the old way of recording winnings but they were replaced a while ago by points

But I'm far from an expert so hopefully someone else is along soon
