Transplant awareness week

Hi all,

A friend husband is waiting for a heart transplant. They got married in November, and whilst on their honeymoon in the Maldives he became very ill. He was transferred to Bangkok on life support, and stayed there was 7 weeks until he was well enough to be transferred back to the UK. He had got a virus which attacked his heart, and now he requires an urgent transplant.

She needs the most views to win! She also wants to raise awareness of the importance of being on the donor list and ensuring that your family are aware of your wishes.

I have a very good friend who is the transplant co-ordinator for the Wessex region. Apparently three people A DAY die for want of a donated organ. I have had a donor card ever since the scheme started and I would urge everybody to do the same and make their wishes known to their family.

How sad. I hope he manages to get the transplant.
The video is really good.
This is something I have thought about but OH is not too keen. This has now resurrected the subject so thanks for posting. Good luck to your friends.
