Transport Cornwall to Essex

Can anyone pleasse recommend a realiable transport company, my husband has all his licence's through the army so is able to self drive a self hire box.

The only company I can think of is Manningtree horsebox hire.

Would like it to be as cheap as possible really if this is at all possible.
 
Wasn't there an ad on the Hooked on horses fb page this week about a company using the (rather chavvy) tagline / name "TOWIT" - the only way is towing :rolleyes: - for self drive trailer hire. I would presume they also do horseboxes?

Whereabouts are you in Essex? There are 3 self hire companies near me in Hertfordshire, all hiring the little 3.5t boxes on a daily rate. Would probably be quite reasonable if you did it over two days mid week. They probably all add mileage on though so Cornwall-Essex would bump it up a bit.

What about that scheme that was in H&H a few months ago where people join and hire out their own lorries? That might be better. I'd hire you mine but it's currently in pieces in a workshop :(
 
Do you want to hire a self drive in Cornwall and will it be returned to Cornwall? There is often a selfdrive company that advertise locally, they have a 7.5t Merc lorry. Dick James travels all over the country and is very good.
