Hi

Is anyone coming up North in the near future.

A little rescue pony needs a lift from Peterborough to Leeds where he has a new home at Hope Pastures

If anyone can help, or get him part of the way it would be terrific.

Apparently he is good to travel

Replied on other post, that if some one can get him to the A46 outside Lincoln I can get him to clumber park... Over half way to Leeds.

Would love to home him, but can't have a gelding and stallion , unless some one knows how it could work!!! :)

I have done relays for weimaraner rescue and it works well, so come on notts peeps, can you meet me at clumber park to take him further up the A1 ???

If you get really stuck I have the contact number of a licensed animal transporter who moved my horse from nr Pboro to Leeds (and back again) he moved my boy in a cattle truck and is used to unhandled /difficult horses as has transported them for rescue centres in the past.

He is more a cattle man but handles horses wonderfully and my horse has never loaded or travelled so well as with him.

Sorry cant help with transport as we are in Scotland, but would like to add that many stallions successfully live with geldings so long as there are no mares in the surrounding area. My own Welsh B stallion has had several companions over the years including his sons before and after gelding.
Best of luck to him and bless you WD and the charity that re homing him.

Hi guys , heres hoping this incredible journey goes smoothly and the lovely wee man finds that all his christmases have come at once! Sorry too many miles away to be of any real help but have just made a small donation to Hope Pastures to help towards castration costs ( or whatever they need ). God bless those willing to give up time / effort / fuel to secure this pony's future.x

Only just seen this....

I'm Lincoln area so if you get stuck with transport, let me know, I can offer to take him a short way, but not very rich, least I can do though! Also off school at the moment so next Tuesday would be good for me.

So you need someone to do from Grantham? It's going to be easier to either go from Grantham up the A1 and straight to Clumber, it's less than 40 miles, OR someone from Grantham can swap him at Newark and onto Clumber...but that's only 15 miles.
