Just in case anyone has missed all the other threads and thinks Peterborough to Leeds was too far to help.

The relay is in place for Tuesday and only the Granham to Clumber leg is missing.

Dragonsleighbells has said its a possibility, in case she cant can anyone else help.

If you cant find anyone I will take the wee little man from grantham to clumber. I do live 50mins away from grantham (in leicestershire) so would be a fair amount of fuel but will do it if nobody else can.

It is certainly a lesser contribution than my mother assuming once Id mentioned helping the little man before letting me finish that we were to keep him  Id love to but Ive already got 2 field ornaments, 1 baby and 2 ridden .

Whoever knows the little laddy- is he likely to load okay into a 7.5tonner? If so let me know if you still need help. :).

Just spoken to my grandma whose with us for christmas and she said shed love to come for a trip in the horsebox and that shed really enjoy it so I can confirm we are definitely up for it and not to worry about finding anyone nearer :). If you PM me all the relevant details when you are back on your comp :). Very generous of you spending time arranging all this at xmas.

Ah what a popular little guy now hes got more than enough helpers :). I dont mind, are you really near the handover point or further away like me? If you are also a fair distance away then il do the transporting, but if you're really nearby it perhaps makes more sense for you to transport and il donate the money i would have spent on fuel and a few bags of chaff for him. Im more than happy to travel so doesnt make much odds to me :).

Well, I'll have to travel from Lincoln to Grantham, which is about 40-odd miles, so it's about the same as you I reckon! I was just thinking if your nan is really looking forward to it, then you go for it, and I'll donate something towards his keep! How does that sound?

:D

Yep that sounds good to me :). Im quite glad actually as Ive just heard her excitedly discussing it with my auntie bless her :) and even though i told her provisionally Im glad not to have to disappoint! Now just to find the kindest way to explain Id rather she didnt do her habit when in the car of pointing out the window and telling me to look, whilst Im driving the lorry! :p.

Have to admit I'm now confused and I think Wonkey Donkey is as well.

She seems to think someone is offering to do the first leg.

OK pony is in Peterborough, Hope Pastures is in Leeds.

Yeeharider is offering Clumber to Leeds, that is definate.

Can everyone else confirm what they are offering. I will get the map out

yes if thats possible for you mrsmozartletoe then Im sure W_D would appreciate it. Bless her she must have had a stressful time of it working over xmas and sorting out this little laddy. Unfortunately the starting point is too far away for me or Dragonsleigh-bells so neither of us can cover for her.

As it stands-

first leg - from his home yard -> grantham is W_D (who I think we can safely say would appreciate cover if available)

second leg - from grantham -> clumber is me and Im all set :)

third leg- from clumber -> Hope Pastures Leeds is yeeharider

Dragonsleigh-bells also kindly offered to cover second leg but after some deliberation she is donating instead and Im driving :).

Yes, I think we got a bit confused, apologies if that was my fault......

Hats off completely to wonkey donkey for arranging this whole thing and saving the pony from doom....it'll all come right in the end.

Hi

It sounds like all the transport arrangements are now sorted and that it will be Wonky Donkey, Becca1305 and Yeharider? I hope thats correct, think its got a bit confusing somewhere along the line!

Please could someone confirm the time that each stage of the journey will take so that we know what time to expect him at Hope Pastures. I will PM you all my mobile number so that if there are any problems you can let me know.

Thanks for all your help in getting him to Leeds.

Amy :)
