Transport needed from Kent to Norfolk

Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a good transport company/person? I need a driver to pick my boy up from Kent and take him to Norfolk in a couple of weeks' time. He doesn't load or travel particularly well and this will be the longest that he's been in a box so someone good is essential. Also, I'd prefer a newer, two horsebox – anything older/larger with a higher ramp causes further issues.

I recently transported my new boy from County Durham to Surrey, a 7 hour journey. I used Eric Gillie and I must say they were absolutely fantastic. They make the trip north to south amd back again weekly and my very big boy (18.2 hands ) had not travelled for a couple of years. No problems whatsoever. The driver was amazing and so caring. Took heaps of time to ensure he loaded quietly and happily and was settled before setting off and then spent time again at our yard to ensure he was ok and settling in after he arrived.
They have a royal warrant and transport the Queen's horses so I thought they must be good as what they do.
Would highly recommend them to all and sundry.

I have used Andrew from We Move Any Horse a number of times, and he is always on time, good and quiet with the horses, very reasonable cost wise. I got let down by another horse transporter the day before one of our ponies had to traverse the country, and he stepped in, no hassle, and bought her home! He's travelled a number of our ponies, and will give extra time for bad loaders ( like one of mine...!)

I recently moved my horse from Kent to Suffolk and used a lady called Shelley Miles. She charged me £140 as I shared with another horse (would have been £160 on her own) whereas others were charging £200 or more. Shes a lovely lady, was very helpful only downside was her box (a two box with low ramp) is pink
